Are you looking for a folding wagon…maybe one with cup holders or a table? In this article you’ll find my hands-on review of the Mac Sports Folding Wagon with Table. We’ve had this wagon for over a year now so I’ll tell you what I like about it and what I don’t like about it in this review.
So before you buy a MAC Sports folding wagon…read this review… because this wagon isn’t for everyone.

Because we’ve only had this folding wagon for a few weeks now this review will help you understand the functionality of the wagon, but not necessarily the durability yet. We haven’t owned it long enough to attest to its durability.
Mac Sports Folding Wagon with Table Review
Below I’ll share my thoughts on this folding wagon: the things I like and the things I don’t like about it.
What model of the MAC Sports Folding Wagon do we have?
We have the MAC Sports Collapsible Folding Wagon with Table known as Model WTC.
There are other colors available, and the different colors have a different 3-digit code after the WTC.
For example the gray wagon is WTC-169. The maroon version is WTC-167.
In my opinion all the MAC Sports product listings on Amazon are a little bit confusing. I suggest if you order from Amazon that you order from the MAC Sports Store themselves and not a 3rd party (just to avoid confusion).
What is the size of this MAC wagon?
In this section we’ll look at some of the dimensions of this folding wagon when it is folded up, and the cargo area when it is opened up.
Folded Dimensions of this Wagon
When it is folded up it is about 9-inches thick, 20-inches wide and about 30-inches tall.
You may be wondering if it rolls once folded. And the answer is yes, BUT only front and backwards along on the 20-inch wide side. So you can’t turn it and roll it sideways along the narrow plane.
You can see in the picture above how the wheels are situated. This is the way it would roll. (This is actually one of the things I don’t like about it…limited maneuverability once folded.)
Cargo Area Dimensions (the wagon opened up)
The MAC sports folding wagon that we have can hold up to 150 pounds in its cargo area.
The cargo-carrying area of the wagon is made of polyester fabric.
Below are some pictures showing the dimensions of the wagon’s cargo area.
The length of the cargo area is about 32-inches long.
Sorry the measuring tape is a little hard to see in the photo below but the width of the cargo area is about 17.5-inches.
The height of the cargo area is about 10-inches high.
What do all these numbers mean?
Well it means you can fit a lot of stuff in this wagon.
What size are the wheels on MAC Sports Folding Wagon with Table – Model WTC
This wagon has rubber wheels that are about 7.5-inches in diameter (as seen in the photo below).
The wheels on the Model WTC are 1.5-inches wide.
Do all the wheels turn on this Mac Sports Wagon?
No. Only the front wheels on the Model WTC turn.
The back wheels are locked to only roll back and forth…they don’t turn.
What I like about the MAC Sports Folding Wagon (the Pros)
In this section I’ll list some of the things I like about this folding wagon.
1. The Folding Table
The reason we got this MAC wagon with a table is because of the table.
The folding table is a great feature.
It has two cupholders on this table so when you’re at the beach your beverages are within easy reach and your lunch will be up out of the sand.. Plus there is a rectangular slot in the table to put your phone.
2. Easy to Fold up the Wagon
I like how easily it folds up. You simply pull up the knob that is in the center of the wagon and it folds up like an accordion. It requires very little effort to fold up the wagon.
3. The Small Size of it once Folded up
I like how compact it is once folded up. What I didn’t like about our previous wagon is that it didn’t fold, and it required more space to store it.
But as the earlier photo showed, this MAC Sports folding wagon folds small so you can store it inside and protect it from the elements. (There are also things I don’t like about storing it which I cover in the next section.)
4. Cup Holder / Mesh Pockets at front of the Wagon
I like the two mesh pockets at the front of the wagon. They’re good for drink bottles, sunscreen and similar shaped items.
What I don’t like about the MAC Sports Folding Wagon (the Cons)
Below I share some of the things I don’t like about our wagon.
1. Weight
It feels solid and well-built with a steel frame but as a consequence, it isn’t exactly light.
It weighs 22.5 pounds (10.25kg).
2. Storing it can be frustrating
When it is folded you can roll it on its wheels to put it away, but because the back wheels only go forward and backward, you can’t roll it sideways to fit through narrow spaces. (Limited maneuverability once folded.)
Plus, since the wheels don’t lock, storing it folded and upright means you have to lean it against something and hope the wheels don’t start rolling. You have to ram a wedge against the tires to stop them from rolling out. It is frustrating.
I wish you could lock the wheels to make it easier to store upright.
3. Not great in the sand
The wheels are quite narrow (just over 1.5” wide) so it isn’t good for fine, deep sand. (I’ll cover this in more detail in the next section.)
Is the MAC Sports Folding Wagon a good beach wagon?
The MAC Sports folding wagon is good for packing your beach supplies from the car to the beach when you’re using paved or gravel pathways, but the narrow wheels are not suited for pulling the wagon through soft sand for a great distance. Short distances are manageable with some effort, but longer distances would be fatiguing.
What’s great is that the wagon fits unfolded and open into the back of our Toyota RAV-4. So we can fill it full of our beach stuff like sand toys, towels and our beach bag then lift it into the vehicle.
Then when we get to the beach I can lift the loaded wagon out, set it on the ground and we’re ready for the beach.
At our beach there is quite a distance from the parking lot to the beach via walkways. The wagon works well on the paved walkways, but then it is a struggle pulling it along the sand to the water. Thankfully at our beach the water is fairly close to the end of the path, so I don’t have to pull the wagon too far.
What do you need to consider if you want to use this as beach wagon
If you want to use this MAC Sports WTC model as your beach wagon you first need to analyze your beach.
1. Does your beach have really soft sand or is it fairly compact?
I’ve read that people who use this wagon on compact beaches are happy with it.
If you have soft sandy beaches like we do here then it is more of a struggle.
2. Will you have to traverse a long way through the sand to get to the water or your desired spot?
I can pull this wagon through the soft sand for a short distance, but I wouldn’t want to have to pull it very far.
So keep this mind.
What colors can you get this folding wagon in?
I don’t see our black version of this wagon available at Amazon anymore, but it is available in some other colors.

Summary of the MAC Sports Folding Wagon with Table
So far I really like this folding wagon – particularly the table with the cupholders and how easy it is to fold up – but this wagon isn’t for everyone.
If you want a beach wagon and you have fine, soft sand then I suggest you look for a wagon with wider tires.
If you primarily want this to pack stuff around paved or hard-packed pathways then this is a good option.
Because it folds up small it would be good for apartment dwellers who want the functionality of a wagon but don’t have the room to store a non-folding wagon.
